The specialness in visiting a bed and breakfasts is feeling pampered. A place where one feels at home, comfortable and appreciated. We, Sherry and John, have made that our goal, your comfort.

Both of our suites have a private porch where you can sit, admire the view, visit or barbecue. The Hill Top grounds are a wonderful place to sit and feast your eyes on Walnut Grove in Pettigrew Park. A picnic table is in the park for those who want to be among the trees and feel the coolness in the summer and the peacefulness all year around.

There are things to see, do and a variety of interesting new people to meet. We love hearing about the various places where people come from and how they live. We offer a sitting room in the lodge where our guests can meet, talk sit by the fire during the cold season, play the piano or read a book. Sherry and John have travelled, are well versed in many areas and enjoy sharing as well as hearing what others have done.

Come visit "Sherry's Herb Shack" located in the main house. Sherry supplies the shampoos and conditioners you will find in the cottage. These are two of the many products for sale.  Check our our Herbal Catalog page.

Sherry teaches various classes such as Reflexology and energy work here at River Birch Lane. Special class packages are available, which include class fees and bed and breakfast. Sherry is a licensed massage therapist and offers pampering rejuvenating body wraps, exfoliating body scrubs, or if you prefer a therapeutic massage. Advance reservations are required for the spa services or massage.

We are happy to announce that at the Dent County Fair Fall Festival, 2003, Sherry entered nine items and was awarded nine ribbons. The four first place ribbons  were for her banana nut, zucchini nut, pumpkin nut breads and pickled beets. You can expect to be served a loaf of one of these award winning breads with your breakfast. Be sure to let Sherry know your favorite bread and she'll do her best to have it available for you.

John a retired TWA employee, is your host and tour guide. He will be happy to take you for a hike and explain all we have done to bring this land back to life.

John is also our in-house cook and has consented to provide an evening meal for special occasions. Ask for our menu as prices may vary. Reservations are required.

Occasionally we will provide a bonfire where you can roast marshmallows, watch the stars, or just watch the fire as it gives us its own fireworks display.

Our aim is to offer a variety of services to please your senses. Thus, allowing you to put aside the hustle and bustle of your busy life and take it easy for a short time. The character of      River Birch Lane Bed and Breakfast is defined by who we are and the cottage we have restored for you pleasure. We look forward to having you visit and enjoy our homestead.
